Caitlin is two! {although when you ask her how old she is she says "five!"}

She was super excited about her party and could hardly wait for the cake! We had a little combined birthday celebration with family for her and uncle Alex whose b-day is on valentine's day.

She is a shy one but loved everyone singing to her.







When presented with her cake it was priceless when she bent down for a bite with no hands...didn't want to get them dirty I guess.

She was sick on her official birthday but between naps we enjoyed playing at the park and riding the train; something she requests to do every Tuesday (how does she know when it's Tuesday? My guess she that she caught on that's when we take Carson to school)





Miss Cait is a pistol! She is determined, headstrong, sensitive and oh so smart! She can count to 20, loves books and is very well spoken~unless you're a stranger and then she won't say a thing; just give you a stare down. She loves all things girly and especially clothes, lip gloss and nail polish. She is very affectionate always telling us she loves us. She such a sweet big sister and loves both of her brothers to pieces! We all love her too!

All Girl

Caitlin is such a girly girl {which I love} she mothers her baby dolls, "cooks" for us, requests flowers for her hair, loves the telephone, and is always into my stuff, particularly my nail polish! She will often come out of my bathroom with a chosen color and with a slight tilt of her head almost demand "nails" Our little girl is getting big...

Caitlin broke her leg 3 days after Owen was born {great timing huh?!} and has been in a cast ever since! She will be getting it off today and we are all excited!

Caitlin's favorites

She loves to dance and wants music on all the time! It's really cute! She is also really into accessories.

Sunday I was wearing a necklace and went to put her into her car seat and she saw it and said, "mine" while patting her chest...so I got her one. The awesome thing is that she keeps them on! She is tough and kind of crazy but 100% girly which I love!

She is also an Elmo junkie, liking the short burst only offered from Youtube instead of a whole show, which is great but doesn't let you get much done in 2 minutes!

She also enjoys playing with play dough and these days will repeat almost everything you say...she's getting to be a talker which is nice because now we have a better idea of what she wants!



Caitlin loves to play at the park and swing REALLY high on the swings! If we're not pushing her high enough, she'll say, "more, more!" until she is sky high.

After dropping Carson off at pre-school the other day we headed straight for the park before it got too hot. Side note, she LOVES her brother; cries when he leaves and is super excited when she sees him again...he is obviously way more exciting than we are!

She had fun just doing her thing and I enjoyed watching her and following her around making sure she didn't hurt herself climbing.

We just love her!

18 months

This is what happens to your baby in 18 months! We are in love with Cait...can you see why?

She has so much energy and is so much fun {when she's not whining or hurting herself!}

She weighs 25 lbs 8 oz. and is 2 ft 9 inches.

She can point to all of her body parts and loves to make animal noises when prompted. She also LOVES music and dancing. In fact, in the mornings while eating breakfast she sits in her highchair and shakes her shoulders as her way of asking for some tunes.

She loves milk, crackers, dried blueberries, raisins, and cheddar cheese.

She is becoming a great talker. Here are a few things she likes to say:

Look who's one!

Caitlin is a great addition to our family and I can't imagine our family without her {I guess that's not 100% true because it would be quite a bit quieter :] } This year has been an eventful one and I am kind of sad that it has gone by so quickly.

Despite the cold weather, I took her pictures Saturday and the cold helped us keep the photo session short!

Cait is a happy girl who loves to burrow into her blanket, wave hi and bye, "re-organize the cupboards"=everything on the ground several times a day. She babbles and says: more (signs and says), mama, dada, Uuh (up), and she loves to clap.



She is good at giving slobbery kisses, drinking from her sippy cup all by herself, and crawling as fast as she can. We honestly thought she would be walking by now but she's not interested, probably because she is such a proficient crawler and that's ok with us.

She loves to eat anything she can get her hands on! Her favorites being bananas, freeze dried yogurt bites, black beans, our cold cereal, and any type of snack cracker. If she has finished and wants more we get to hear a velociraptor roar from her.

She is determined, has quite the personality and we love her.



We celebrated with a family dinner yesterday. We are so fortunate to live so close to our family!

She lite up when we were all singing to her and ate her cake very lady like.

Happy 1st Birthday Cait!

Chatter Box

Caitlin is a true girl who loves the phone.



Not sure where she picked up on this because I am not on the phone much but anything that she thinks will work as a phone will go straight behind her head as she pretends and often laughs "on the phone." The other day when I answered a phone call from my mom, she was whining because she wanted it and when I didn't give in {because I was on the phone} she literally tore it out of my hands and hung up the phone because she wanted it so badly.

11 months

Can it really be one more month until Cait's first birthday?! She is getting more vocal and although she doesn't speak we usually know what she wants. She still enjoys crawling everywhere and will crawl real fast so she isn't left out because she doesn't want to miss a second. She has started to relax a little and will sit still long enough to finish a couple of books if I read fast. Loves to eat and so far hasn't been picky. Great sleeper and pretty happy too with random dramatic spells it seems daily-hey she is a girl after all! We love our sweat pea!

10 months

Can it be, another month come and gone! It was more challenging getting a picture of Cait due to her increasing mobility...she doesn't sit still!

Cait loves to stand and has even begun to balance for up to 10 seconds before plopping down on her bottom, then getting up to try it all again.


She also enjoys bath time and the swings at the park.



Cait can feed herself her bottle and anything else she can make to her mouth before I realize {like moss from the tree, paper and random specks of dirt she finds around the house.} She has eight teeth, 8! She doesn't really play with toys, instead enjoys cruising around getting into trouble!

We are excited to share her first Christmas with her; although she probably won't be interested in her gifts for long as I am confident that she is going to love the Christmas wrapping paper!

9 months

Caitlin is 9 months going on 12...most people think that she is older because she is so daring and fearless and is climbing up on everything! She is happy and quite dramatic but I hear that's just girls in general!

Caitlin is not interested in toys unless she can stand up on them, but she does like paper and will shove it into her mouth as fast as lightning. She only crawls as a means to get to somewhere where she can pull herself up to standing. As a result, I call her crazy all day long and she has had a couple bruises already (mostly from the above fireplace) on her forehead. Andrew says that at this rate she'll have stitches before her 1st birthday-let's hope he's wrong!

Cait likes to feed herself. Her favorites right now happen to be cheerios, bananas and pizza crust. She also seems to favor blackberry applesauce which has a little kick to it, just like her!
As much as she likes to eat, she detests having her face cleaned after.

She still likes the blanket right by her face to sleep and thoroughly enjoys splashing in the tub.
I love the way she smiles with her eyes and enjoy hearing her babble.


We call her crazy yet we are all crazy about her! Can you blame us?!

8 months

Caitlin is a BUSY baby, always on the go or wanting to be on the go. Let's just say she is strong willed! Unlike Carson at 8 months who enjoyed being held, read to and even got in a little t.v. time by this age she wants nothing that keeps her in the same place long! She has been scooting for the past month and is defiantly mobile. She has 4 teeth, 2 bottom and 2 {her fangs} up top.

Cait excels at the sit and reach!


She also pulls herself up to standing already-crazy! At times it seems like she is ready to start running and I think she would if she could!

7 months

Can it be? 7 months already!

Caitlin is one happy baby.
She's mastered squealing and babbling.
Loves bath time.
Likes walks, especially if they involve going to the park because the park=swings
Sleeps on her stomach or her side with her head bent way back.
Restless at church.
Flaps her left hand up and down when she's excited or saying hi.
From sitting, she has started to kneel on her knees-one step closer to crawling!
