Halloween Festivities

These last few months have gone by so quickly that it is hard for me to believe that Halloween is almost here!

When you think about it, Halloween is an odd holiday to celebrate; getting dressed up, decorating with spiderwebs and witches...not the best vibe but then again you gotta get the candy!

Halloween seems to be Carson's favorite holiday and this year he knows that costumes are "just pretend." He also knows that he wants CANDY thanks to this book.

This past week has been full of events.

Saturday we went to a carnival. It was raining but that didn't stop us from having fun.

There were two bounce houses, carnival games, a magician, corn dogs, caramel apples, popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones! Let's just say we were all sugared out before we left!

That night, Andrew and I attended a costume party in which everyone is super creative with their costumes. Thanks to Liz we had the luchadores look going...still kind of regretting wearing mostly spandex from the numerous comments but glad that we had a "worthy" costume.

Some of the best one's were:

"Up" So easy but super creative I thought!

The Mad hatter and Alice

Two faced and poison ivy. Dave actually cut and sewed this white and black suit together HIMSELF! Oh, and his hair half of it it bleached-crazy!
We have so many great friends and it is fun to get to hang out without the kids every once in awhile!

Monday we had a Halloween family home evening at Mary's. Steph had been watching the kids so we met her there. Yummy soup and as always creative games. The kids even trick or treated the doors of the house! Good times!

I came from the hospital so am not in costume-just keeping it real!

got to eat the donut!

Finally, Tuesday was Andrew's birthday as well our our trunk or treat. All I have to say about that is that our ward is insanely large! Almost 300 kids under 12! How fun for the kids to have so many friends!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

It's Andrew's birthday today and he's stuck at home working plus I'm gone all day at school...happy day! All jokes aside he really is amazing. He is supporting my dream of becoming an R.N. although it leaves more work and less attention for him.

He is the best guy and we love him!
