Trunk or Treat

Is it really Halloween?

Time has been getting away from me lately! We had our trunk or treat tonight so I took a few photos before we left knowing that tomorrow they will be all about the candy!

Caitlin was Cinderella and I think she played the part well...she really is a beautiful girl.
Andrew said she looks like Toddlers and Tiaras but its just for Halloween, no beauty pageants for this little miss.

She is so sassy!  She always wants make-up and with it being Halloween I indulged her although it lasted about an hour until she looked more like a zombie princess with mascara streaming down her cheeks.

She could probably get a job at Disney, what do you think?

It was cute, Carson kept mentioning Caitlin's eyes and how the make-up really made them stand out--I'm afraid for her teen years!  It's a good thing she has many uncles and two brothers!

Carson has two costumes this year; Superman (from a garage sale last summer) and Spiderman (from Christmas).  He wore Superman to the trunk or treat because there were no masks allowed and I think he looked great!

Tomorrow is crazy hair day at school and he wanted black hair so I explained how Clark Kent has dark hair and I think this really made the costume better.  It's all about the details!

It's a BIRD, it's a PLANE it's SUPER CARSON!

I was saving the best for last!  It's Owen's first Halloween!

We love him, sooooo much!

 He seriously is THE happiest little guy {as long as I'm in arms distance}

It really doesn't get any cuter than that!

Owen hasn't really ever had candy...he thought he was pulling a trick on us when I gave him a Twizzler!  He thought it was hilarious! He would stick it in his mouth and a huge grin would spread across his face and then he would just start cracking up!  Gotta get the candy!

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

Oh yeah, we dressed up too! The Clarks Halloween party ( I could dedicate an entire post to this but I'm being lazy) Let's just say that it is something I look forward to; we get to get out and have some fun!  Dance party! It was the party of the year!  I had a blast!

Gourds

Fall is here, I hope to stay although the weather man reports otherwise!

Fall for us means baking, crafts, visits to the pumpkin patch but it also means college football and Andrew having a Saturday date with the men in his family-Go USC!  That leaves me for several hours with the kids...this week we decided to paint our gourds.

I absolutely love how Owen is peeping over the gourds with a huge grin on his face; he is seriously the happiest little boy!

This girl has so much attitude, she cracks me up!

She was so focused on making her pink polka dots.

Carson is a perfectionist (I wonder who he inherited that trait from?!) I feel kind of bad because if it's not perfect he is disappointed...because of this, I am his personal cheer leader.

Cait was super happy until Carson wanted her to share....she didn't like that idea one bit!

"Look mom, I made it to look like me!"

I can't get enough of Owen, sweetest boy, ever!  Except for Carson so I guess they are tied!
Caitlin also likes to be a little mommy and I have noticed she is happiest being productive...I wonder where she got that?!  It is always amazing to me to see part of myself in the kids; good and bad!
So lucky they are mine!

Pumpkins

One of our favorite fall activities is to visit the pumpkin patch...more than once!  It is especially speedy to get there because they finally finished construction on the Lincoln bypass.

Andrew was able to come with us, which was a special treat!

Carson has always enjoyed petting, grooming and feeding the animals....Caitlin not so much.  She is not an animal lover!

I can't get enough of my kids, I love them to pieces!

Happy Fall!

Napa Ragnar

The concept of Ragnar to me always sounds a bit like self inflicted torture but I get there and love it!  There is something truly memorable about 12 girls in 1 van running near 200 miles with no sleep!  I think it the closest thing we can get to a sleep over and we love it!
We're Tutu Fast and we placed 3rd for our age division!

Diana and I doing handstands...not for any particular reason either.

{I apologize ahead of time for the Tutu Overload!}

 Me in action

Somewhere between San Fransisco and Calistoga.  The scenery was beautiful to say the least.

Our attempt to relax and get some rest...I say rest because sleep isn't possible with that much going on. In an effort to get comfortable, we were each others pillows in many unique positions.

Carrie is officially done and I'm up next!

It's my turn, last run!
Coming on from my final run...So back when we where doing handstands someone said that I should do a cartwheel and I committed.  {I don't think they thought that I would actually do it} but of course, I did!  There is a picture somewhere to prove it! My cartwheel got the attention of the groups that were waiting for their runners.  "You're making us all look bad!  As if running wasn't enough!" PRICELESS!
 Kirsten being Kirsten!

 Finished! Tired and sweaty.

I had a blast, until next year!  Happy Running!
