Be Creative

While in the kitchen making veggie purees today we broke out the play dough and were having fun using our imaginations. Carson would make a clay-mation request and I would do my best, with his help of course to make it a reality.

Here's Carson showing off our masterpeice, I must say I think the dog turned out pretty cute even though it's blurry!

Andrew came in to say that he loved the smell of cauliflower and broccoli...it's a pretty strong aroma so I hope no one stops by because our house kind of stinks now and he decided to do an impromptu belly shoot because we haven't taken any belly pictures yet.

So here I am, 19 weeks tomorrow. I am feeling great I just find myself hungry and tired all the time. The tired part I don't mind because it's a good excuse for a nap! We are anxiously waiting until Thursday when we have our ultrasound appointment to find out the sex of this baby.
Votes are tied: half boy, half girl-you guys are no help at all!

Mid-sentence
This was Andrew's attempt to make me appear thin...too bad it didn't work.

When Andrew was taking my picture Carson was saying, "my turn, my turn"

He's sporting a Carson Palmer jersey, former USC player and part of the inspiration behind his name. I doubt he will EVER be a football player but he looks likes he's getting ready to charge! Go USC Trojans!...they sure need to step it up after last weeks game.

On a side note, Carson attended his first football game last night and has a new enthusiasm for the sport. Andrew just barely turned the tv on and Carson saw that it was football and he is cheering, rather shouting "go!, go!" while clapping-too cute!

Words of Wisdom

**Contains womanly content male readers, may want to not read**
My husband is going to think this post is inappropriate but it's just a fact of life, sorry honey.

I have heard from many of you and have had a few experiences of my out of nowhere suddenly have to "go," or where a laugh, or a sneeze, or perhaps I just drinking too much water prior to a run which makes you nearly pee your pants. Leaving you thinking, "where did that come from" and "what happened to me, can I not control myself?" This phenomenon is normal after childbirth and is also part of aging--another great thing to look forward to :)

A couple Sundays ago we were at Andrew's parents house and after dinner I was looking through the Sac Bee, pulling out advertisements, the comics, the section with the recipes, and the parade. So Andrew's amazing Grandma Lois joins Robin and I at the table and she opens the Parade and is looking through it and there is an add for Depends, for those who don't know Depends are adult diapers. Now one thing I especially love about Lois is that she will tell you what she is thinking and she is super sharp so I always listen to what she has to say.

She leans in and says to Robin and I and asked us "Do you two know what Kegels are... we're nodding as she continues "they strengthen your pelvic floor muscles." She continues on saying, "You can do them (kegel's) anywhere; the car, while grocery shopping, at church, watching t.v. and let me tell you, they work!" We are laughing and at this point maybe a little embarrased to be having this conversation with Lois but she was a nurse so she has credibility besides being a woman and a grandma.

It gets better, "Girls, you need to do them, your future DEPENDS on it."
Get it?
She is hilarious to boot.

Now literally everytime I have to us the restroom (I am tying to be politically correct, I have almost written pee so many times) which happens to be a lot because I am pregnant I think of her words of wisdom "your future DEPENDS on it!"

So remember,
