3 Months

Caitlin is already three months, can you believe it?! Life with two kids is super busy, but I love it! It seems like Caitlin has been with us for much longer than 3 months and I have a hard time imagining life without her. She is a great baby!

Caitlin is a calm, active, easy going, happy and a great sleeper (thank you)!

She has such a good natured, cheerful disposition. We all love when she coo's, laughs and smiles. We even love when she pouts and shows her serious side.

She holds her head up and her hands are her friend; whether trying to suck of her fist or just stare at them, they are her entertainment. At her last appointment she had jumped from the 28% for weight to the 96% weighing 14lbs...that's my girl!

We are glad that she is healthy and love her to pieces.

Fairytale Town

Carson is at a stage where he remembers things that we do and does best when we are active. Today we went to Fairytale Town.

I have the best memories going there when I was a kid and I was pleased to see that nothing has changed yet it doesn't seem old either which I liked. We were lucky enough to have a few friends join us as we ran, explored and ate lunch.

After lunch a huge group of class field trips swarmed the place so we packed up and headed home.

Carson especially loved the train, pirate ship and the castle...he's all boy!

He is super cute always wanting to hold and give loves.
My favorite thing is when he says, "I love Caitlin"...she is one lucky little sister.

We will definitely go back soon!

Speaking of soon...Carson is turning 3!

The Little Things

Sunday in Relief Society the teacher began with an object lesson. She had a jar full of rocks that included doing what I'll call "spiritual tasks" things such as praying, reading scripture and holding family home evening.

The other jar had lentils/rice that were like all of the little things we need or should accomplish in a day to day basis such as laundry, dishes, well you get the idea. She went on to basically explain that if we tend to the spiritual tasks first that all of our day to day things will go smoother and that the little things won't take the place of the more important things.

Object lessons for me are often influential. First things first. Since that lesson I have been trying my best to re-prioritize my time and not let the little things aka the repetitive household task take the place of more important spiritual tasks. For example, I am an avid reader however I was not finding or rather making the time to read my scriptures. Now I have to read my scriptures prior to looking at any other magazine or book and it has been amazing to me the difference this change has made for me in just three days. I find myself able to accomplish more that before (hello, I even cleaned my oven!) and in addition I am calmer.

So, take an inventory on what's important to you...make a change and you'll be surprised at what you can do!
