Monkey-ing Around

Happy Halloween!

Last night our ward had our soupfest/trunk-or-treat and this is the first year that we have gone because for some reason or another we had always been out of town when our ward held it. Carson was super excited to sport his monkey costume and couldn't wait to get candy.

My SUPER-man...he really is!
Andrew and I were feeling festive so we too dressed up! He was Superman/Clark Kent revealed and I went as a witch. I have to admit it was pretty fun to dress up.

Carson had so much fun at the trunk-or-treat that this morning he woke up at 6am running to our room requesting, "candy, more candy!" Lucky me.

I'm not sure where he learned this funny face but it is a favorite of his lately. He usually sticks his tongue out when he does it making it in my opinion even funnier!

Carson got a surprise visit last night from Uncle Ian dressed as Elmo, Carson went crazy!

Carson is so into Halloween this year and he can't wait for tonight!
My question is, what do I do with all of his candy?
He got quite a bit of candy last night and is sure to score again tonight...help!

Pumpkin Patch

After class Wednesday, the boys met me at the pumpkin patch because it is halfway between school ans home. It was a cold and windy day but the sun was shining and we had a good time.

Our first stop was to check out all the animals. Carson loves to brush their hair and feed them.

When we were about to leave these baby goats kept jumping in their mother's back. One time, they were both up there--and I thought my back hurt! I kept trying to move to get the picture without the little girl but she kept moving too, oh well.

Carson was jumping on the hay and fell down and got hay on his hands...he doesn't really like his hands dirty (he takes after me) so he was begging for help.

Have I mentioned that he is in love with trains?!
He loves, loves, loves them!
He even came prepared and brought his train whistle with him to the pumpkin patch because he remembered that there was a train there.

He would have played on the wood trains all day but got excited when he got to buy a ticket for the real train. After our train ride the conductor let him push the "choo-choo" button and he is still talking about it!

Picture perfect

On a side note: I re-did my picture wall in the family room and finally put pictures in the photo wall in our bedroom. In our room, Andrew commented that most of the pictures were of him and Carson and he said that the wall needed more of me.

I tried to explain to him that there aren't many pictures of me. He argues that I am self-critical and that surely there are plenty to choose form. So honey, here's the truth, these are the only pictures on our camera of me from the pumpkin patch

...and by anyone's standards are not worthy of placement on a photo wall of any kind. If you don't want to dominate printed pictures, take more of me:) Love, me

That sums up our annual trip to the pumpkin farm.
We can't believe that Carson is getting SO BIG!
Till next year, Happy Halloween!

30

Happy Birthday Andrew!

We celebrated Saturday night with a homemade dinner with some of our closest friends. After dinner we watched a video Andrew's mom had made re-capping his life up to now...it was awesome!

Some fun facts you might not know about Andrew include:

He was born in Santa Monica, CA
If he were a girl his name would have been Emily
He is left handed
His favorite color is blue
His favorite food is lazagne, his favorite dessert is anything chocolate
One of his favorite movies is Goonies
He has visited 9 countries
As a freshman in high school he wrestled 103lb. weight class
He has his Pilot's license but hasn't flown since receiving it
His first paid job was Stage 1 Video and he got paid $3.25 an hour!
He worked at BYU creamery as a freshman
He is (deathly) allergic to bees
His ideal job is working at home and if he won $10,000 he would save it

Then we played the adverb game which is always good for some laughs. All I know is Eric better watch out cause Robin picked up that magazine very seductively and I am kind of afraid for Kirsten after Adam violently walked across the room, knocking her into Brittany's knee and Josh so kindly re-enacted his feminine hug for the good of the picture-thanks!

It was a great night with friends, thanks to all who came and for those who couldn't make it, know that you were missed!

Andrew,
Thanks for working so hard, making me laugh, taking out the trash, keeping up with the landscaping, cuddling and for making my life easier. I love that he is super close with his brothers. I love his smile. I love that he has smile wrinkles around his eyes. I also love that he uses wrinkle cream daily for those smile lines. I love when he makes the bed. I love that he is financially wise and that he has an amazing talent at finding slick deals. I love when he sings...even when he doesn't know the words. I love (like) his passion for sports, go USC! I love that he sets goals and achieves them. I love how he lets me have opportunities to do things just for me. I love him for sparing me his bodily functions-I have never heard him fart! I love that he never leaves the seat up. I love that he works at home. I love that he stays active and has a fit bod and I have learned to appreciate his sarcasm.

Most of all I just love him!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

You're the BEST!

I LOVE YOU
