Bringing the Outdoors In

We are lucky to have several hydrangea bushes out front that add a splash of color to our home and are a great place for Carson to hide!

The hydrangeas are so plentiful that their leaves start to droop meaning that they need to be trimmed. I was recently at a flower shop and saw that they were selling hydrangeas for $6.99 a stem!-seriously. So I decided instead of just throwing those blooms away that we would bring them inside and we even took some to the neighbors-I LOVE flowers!

Andrew with his all knowing voice said "hydrangeas were great at keeping ants away". Believing him I replied "really?!, I had no idea." He then said, "no, they don't have anything to do with ants, but we certainly have enough inside!" Call us the flower house...and there are plenty more.

I love hydrangeas - I just don't know the proper place to cut them, so mine just wilt & die (I should probably just google it).
