Restore Marriage

Marriage is what brings us together today...

"Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." Proposition 8 protests our children from being taught in public schools that same sex marriage is the same as traditional marriage. Proposition 8 doesn't take away any right or benefits from gay or lesbian partners. Under California law, they "shall have the same rights, protections and benefits" as married spouses. We can be tolerant without condoning their standards. If Proposition 8 doesn't pass it will affect everyone in numerous ways. Over time, greater acceptance of nontraditional marriage will be demanded of all people. This could impact the ability of any religion to teach and practice its beliefs. In addition, it will inevitably lead to conflicts with religious liberty and free speech rights. Society will become more hostile to traditional beliefs about marriage and family.

You were such a beautiful bride! Andrews a lucky guy! I got an e-mail today with a link to an article in the San Francisco Chronicle. Apparently, A first-grade class took a field trip to City Hall on Friday to toss rose petals on their just-married lesbian teacher. I found it absolutely appalling.

I am so glad that you posted this!!! Sure we are not in Cali at this time but if it passes there it is bound to keep going to other states. It's kind of scary to think of what is happening in these last days but so exciting that we can "vote" as Christ would vote and take an active part in showing our devotion as you have with this post. Thanks!!!
