Tasty Tuesday

Fresh out of the oven...Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins and they are good!

Gotta love pirate helper who also love taking pictures...

I actually messed these up by not paying close enough attention to the recipe. It calls for 1 C. canned pumpkin, not the whole 14 oz can-oops! The end result, they tasted great but look like monster muffins because of my error. Live and learn.

1C. canned pumpkin
1 C. sugar
1/2 C. vegt. oil
1 egg
2 C. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 ts[ baking soda
1 tsp milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 C. choc. chips

Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Apple Hill

When I was a kid we would go to Apple Hill at least a couple times during the fall season. Well, we had never taken the kids because we always opted for Bishop's Pumpkin Patch instead {which we agreed is best for kids} and I hadn't been for at least 12 years and it had been even longer for Andrew so we thought it was about time.

The kids had fun climbing, watching people do pencil rolls down the hill, got to feed the ducks, watching a kid reel in his catch the fish from the stocked pond, and riding their train.













My mom came with us and it was nice to have an extra pair of hands...plus the kids loved being with her. In fact, when she dropped her off, as soon as our car door closed and Cait realized that she was leaving she was crying hysterically saying and pointing out the window, "Gigi, Gigi!"





It was a little early yet to be buying pumpkins so the kids chose their favorite one and we took their picture by it. Carson is super cute but Andrew says he is going to regret taking this picture!

What a great start to Fall!

Pumpkin Patch; round 1

Weekly since last Fall, Carson has requested the pumpkin patch so Thursday morning we (the kids and I, plus Cat and Jax) headed to Bishop's for some fall fun.


The goats were a favorite and I love hearing Carson say, "aww, baby goats!"


Next spot was the hay trampoline...Cait tried hay-oops!


It was fun to go with friends-all aboard!


Carson was very particular where we sat on the train and Caitlin loved being out in the open for our ride-a first for her!

We are loving fall although the weather isn't fall-like at all.

Carson picked a perfect little pumpkin!

Cait was just happy to be with us. I just can't get over how well behaved she is and how cute!

Can't wait to see how big they are next year!

Game Day

Andrew's family are die hard USC fans as they should be! Andrew's grandparents both attended as well as his Dad so each and every Saturday is game day and we hope that they win so our guys are happy! We're keeping the love alive!
