Training update

Nice and sweaty. Sorry for the close up but when I got home Andrew was in bed, so I took the picture myself.
Today is the end of week 3 of training and I ran my first five miler this bright and early this morning, to Strikes and back. Being as I don't have a gym to go to, I do all of my runs outside. It has been fun trying to calculate distances round trip from my house and I am learning how far places are. In addition, when I get to stop at lights it gives me a chance to stretch! At the beginning of last week I was feeling pretty weak so I skipped a few days of training and continued to take it pretty easy this week. After weighing all of the possibilities of fatigue, I think that I was exerting myself too much without eating enough, lack of sleep I'm sure doesn't help either (I have Carson to thank for that). I was even considering not to continue training but I decided to stick with it, provided my body cooperates. With that said, I feel like I am getting stronger and that my endurance is improving. I still have a long way to go!

Are you training for a marathon? You can do it! I really miss the perfect running weather in CA.

Way to go Tiffani! I'm so happy that you are doing something that you want. So motivational. I hope that after I have my baby I can get motivated like you.

You would smoke me! You can totally do this race. I have my 10K this weekend, I'll let you know how I do. I just want to stay under a 10 minute mile. But you are going to do awesome, keep it up, we are all here for support!

You can do it. I have found that when I train or do long runs it really becomes mind over matter. If you have the mental capacity to keep going you can force your body to do so. It is amazing the power of the mind. My most sluggish days when I feel the weakest sometimes turn out to be my best running days-I pump my mind up and go!! Keep at it-You can do it!! Tell yourself I feel great, oh I feel so great. It really works!

I'm so excited for you! This sounds crazy but I think the further you go the easier you will find it to be. I don't really warm up until around mile 5....that's when I start to love it. And YES....you have to eat so much--but that's the best part!
