California State Fair

We went to the California State Fair to see the All-American Rejects. Even though it was 102 degrees outside at the hottest part of the day, we sweated it out and had a riot! A security guard was even nice enough to give us ear plugs for Carson--it's a good thing 'cause the music was blasting!
While waiting for the concert to start, we escaped the heat by walking through the many exhibits. Our favorite exhibit was Toytopia: "Land of Toys" where an artist had made a The California Golden Bear out of Lego's. I normally can't stand these cheesy cutouts but we just couldn't resist Thomas the Train.
After the concert we stayed until the fair closed just to watch the fireworks show...I'm a sucker for fireworks and it was the perfect ending for our date.

I love your cut out pic! lol. Sounds like you guys are having lots of fun between cabins and outings. Not letting having a baby keep you home. Good job :)

How did Carson do at the concert? My little ones don't even tolerate going to a movie theater.

Leslie...I know we're bad parents. In addition to the earplugs it probably helped that we were in the back because he actually did great and even managed to fall asleep.

It sounds like you guys had so much fun, & it definitely sounds a lot more fun than laying tile.
