I Scream, you scream...

Carson and I were playing inside when we heard the ice cream truck on our street. The truck is on our street practically everyday and so far I had not been tempted to run outside but it was hot today, so I ran and got the change jar and chased the truck down, making him do a u-turn in the middle of the street.

I was so excited because I hadn't gotten anything from an ice cream truck since I was little when my grandpa would let us pick anything we wanted, thanks grandpa. The Mr. Cream was very nice, but then again I'm sure he wants our business next time we hear the familiar song.

Thinking that Carson wouldn't eat very much, I bought one to share.

(Yes, he is WALKING!!)

Carson thoroughly enjoyed this cool treat, eating all of it by himself until it melted off the stick.

Birthday Party!

Last Saturday we officially celebrated Carson's birthday by having our families come over for lunch. I had made chicken, pasta salad, corn on the cob, a variety of fruit and sweet treats for everyone. We stuffed our faces and had a great time. Andrew's cousin Lindsey was nice enough to take pictures for me at Carson's party so that is why there has been a posting delay, thank you for your patience.

I have complied a slide show of the day, enjoy!!

Carson didn't eat as much of his cake like I was expecting, but he did get the frosting all over his hands and face so the pictures turned out good. It was funny to see him (or Tanner actually) open his presents. Carson was extremely opinionated about certain ones that he didn't want other people to touch or take away from him. After the presents were opened he went outside and played T-ball with Uncle Dave and Dad while the elves got busy assembling his other toys.

I would like to thank all of the family that was there to celebrate with us, it wouldn't have been a party without you. We are so glad that we live close and get to share these happy occasions with you.

Father's Day

Andrew is the BEST Dad!

He has the magic touch when Carson is worked up, he isn't afraid of changing diapers (although if you were to ask him he would tell you otherwise), he will carry the diaper bag (my handbag), he is a park regular, and usually is the one pushing the stroller-lucky me. I am so proud that he is the Father of our Son.

It is so awesome for me to see them interact and play together.
Every time Carson sees Andrew, he just lights up...apparently I evoke the opposite response (see pic. below)

One of a kind artwork for Daddy by Carson Andrew Morgan

When I get big, I want to be just like you, and someday soon I will be as big as you! xoxo 'lil C

I thought it would be a fun tradition to take pictures of Carson in the shirt that Andrew wore to the hospital the day he was born, Carson wasn't too happy about it but as a result they are very candid...that's real life for you.

He's not sure whether to laugh, or cry. The funny thing is that I was trying to bribe him the M&M's and that didn't work as well as I had hoped.

Oh, looks like crying won. I think he is still cute even when he is mad.

What did you do for Dad? Do you have any Father's Day traditions?
