Maternity Shoot

Let me start off my giving a BIG thank you to Liz. We went out last Saturday and despite the cold went on a little nature hike and she knew exactly what she wanted me to do so I give all the credit to the amazing pictures to her. When I look at these pictures all I can say is wow! I am impressed with the stellar job she did. Being pregnant I don't fell uber attractive but I these pictures make me think otherwise!

This pregnancy from the get-go has seemed like a whirlwind...unlike the others, it didn't take us as long as we thought it might to get pregnant and I didn't find out I was pregnant until 11 weeks. Combine that with school, two kids and life, I feel like I haven't given this baby as much thought. We are excited {nervous too} to be having number three and we will be officially outnumbered and that makes me feel overwhelmed but I can't wait to meet this little guy in 3 weeks!

Owen, we love you already!

Fab 5

Can you read their shirts?

Well, it's true! We will soon be a family of 5-that's crazy!

I just love them and can't wait to see what #3 will look like!

I had my first doctors appointment and am due December 7, 2011!

This pregnancy has me feeling tired and hungry with a keen sense of smell. I didn't know I was pregnant until I had the stomach flue and then was suspicious of other symptoms I had been having.

I am 12 weeks and we nervous and of course excited!

Caitlin is "so big" and Carson, naturally wants a boy and I think we are going to wait and be surprised this time...that is if I can wait!

Oh, baby!

After another NST and an appointment with the doctor yesterday I am scheduled to be induced Sunday morning, this Sunday as in less than 24 hours from now-crazy! Their reasoning is IUGR basically they think the baby is a pip-squeak who will grow better out rather than inside incubating. I am nervous about being induced and worried that it will make my labor super long because with Carson it all happened pretty fast and I was hoping that labor would progress speedily again so that I could endure the pain and wouldn't have to get an epidural so we'll see how that goes. Wish is luck! Next time you hear form us we'll have another one of these:

Our sweet baby Carson. Man, time flies!

Pregnancy Update

So this pregnancy is winding down and I have 5 weeks left!

This time around, the pregnancy has flown by unlike with Carson where it seemed to drag on...probably because back then we were boring and had nothing else to consume our time with. We have decided in a name (it's about time) and just in time for our baby shower which is this Saturday! I am really looking forward to a girls afternoon with most of my favorite people and some good food...I really can't wait!

While Andrew was taking my picture Carson was feeling a little left out so here he is and then he also loves to take pictures whenever we let him have his hands on the camera so he got one of us right before I changed into something a little more cozy just like my boys.

We are super excited to meet this little one...ready or not!

Pregnancy Update

So this is me at 25 ish weeks-I think. I am feeling great, besides being forgetful and getting big! I can feel her move around constantly now and I am pretty sure that she has given me my first stretch mark right above my belly button-bummer! I feel like time is going by much faster than with Carson which is good and bad because I kind of feel like this baby isn't getting as much attention as the first and she isn't even born yet! I had my first "craving" last week, I just had to have a Jr. Western Bacon Cheeseburger and criss cut fries, it was delicious and so not good for you but I haven't had one of those since at least high school.

The fact that we are having a girl is finally sinking in and I am super excited! I sewed the curtain panels this week and went and bought the paint for her room today. I am a little hesitant on the color but I was indecisive for weeks so I figured that I would just go for it! We'll see how it turns out. We also should receive all of the bedroom stuff Monday and I can't wait to see it all together.

Our only dilemma now is choosing a name. In the Morgan family there has only been one girl in 49 years and she is 17 so I feel like I have to choose a "perfect" name, not that anyone really cares but who knows if we will have another girl so I want it to be good. There are a few names that we are debating between; Caitlin, Madison, and Taylor.

I like Caitlin because it is not super popular but still a solid name, plus she could shorten it if she wanted without it being too nick-namy. Madison has been my absolute favorite name since I was in 7th grade and the only thing stopping me from using it is it's popularity and the fact that I don't love the nickname Madi which without a doubt what her friends would call her. Regarding Madison, Andrew approves and says that I shouldn't let it's popularity be the deciding factor, "if you love it we should use it"...seriously tempted. Lastly, Andrew's favorite name is Taylor and he has said that, "if her name is Taylor she will be cute, if not there's no guarantee!" I think it is super cute for a girl but I am not in love with the name.

I would like to now what you think, but anonymously so VOTE.
You have until Thanksgiving and please only vote once!

Forgetful

Lately I have been super fogtful...you see I even forgot to type the "r" in forgetful. Here are some examples that I can remember from just this week. This is super embarrassing for me because I like to think that I have it all together.

Monday I was driving to the grocery store because our fridge was getting bare (because I had been forgetting to buy things at the store). So I grab my purse, get Carson in his seat and we were off. Half way there I realized that I had taken my wallet out of my purse for church so that all of Carson's stuff would fit. I turned around and got it because I can't get groceries for free althought that would be nice.

Next day, Tuesday I leave early for clinical. The night before I had put my suitcase full of books and laptop into the trunk. I had also packed my backpack because I was planning to stay overnight at a friends due to late clinical hours.
My point is that I had to bring a ton of stuff.
I am driving into Marysville and I notice my gas light. Now I knew that I needed to get gas however, how was I going to buy it when my wallet was in my purse which was at home! Very annoyed with myself I prepped at the hospital then waited for the bank to open and went to in to beg. You see I only had my school I.D. on me. So after answering every imaginable question to verify my identity I was able to get cash and get gas so that I could make it home.

Last but not least, every Thursday I take Carson to the library for Mother Goose on the Loose singing time. Carson loves it and looks forward to going. We leave at 9:50 so that we are there when the library opens at 10:00 so that we get in line for the 10:30 time slot.

Yes people it is popular and when they have 100 people they send people away!

I have been going to this for over a year and have only gone to the later singing time (11:30) once which by the way is not crowded at all!

So yesterday I get ready and I should have gotten in the car right after but my brain didn't register that we had to go. So we read books, played, hung out, and got the mail. As I am pulling into the library parking lot I wonder, "why is the parking lot so full?"
That's when it hit me that I was an hour late!!

Granted, it wasn't important but we were also meeting a friend and I couldn't go to the later time because I was watching another friends kids at 12:00. Aaah!

I need help! I was staring to wonder if I was crazy until I read today that "the babies brain is growing at an amazing speed." You see, apparently I have pregnancy amnesia and my brain power is being sucked from me!! Great, just what I need. So if I forget to call you, don't show up for something or forget to make dinner remember it's not personal.

Hush-hush

After waiting and waiting not wanting to make things seem longer than they really are, and after telling our closest friends, and getting our families together, and accidently letting it slip a few times, we are happy (that is an understatement), excited and thrilled to announce that Carson is going to be a.........................................................................................................................................................

Carson was having way too much fun with cousins, aunts and uncles to want to cooperate, I think you can read it though!

I bought a regular graphic shirt and ironed on letters for the "billboard" announcement. A few people noticed but weren't sure what to think because they said the shirt looked professional and they didn't want to jump to conclusions.

We found out on Eric's birthday (end of June) but wanted to wait until my doctor's appointment which with vacations ended up being light years away. The longer I waited, the more I questioned, "Is this real?" "Am I really pregnant?"

Turns out I really do have a baby growing inside me!

Carson will randomly come up to me and lift my shirt placing both hands on my belly and say "baby", melts my heart. Often he will then lift up his shirt and say "baby" too. I think he says that because I say "your going to have a baby brother or sister" to which every time he says "sister" so we'll see if two year old intuition is correct.

Pretending to be pregnant...thanks buddy!

Due date is February 25, 2010.

The baby is measuring 3 days earlier but the Dr. said that unless it was 6 days earlier that they wouldn't change the due date so I am currently 11 weeks and according to my pregnancy book the baby is the size of a large lime!
