4

I can't believe Carson's 4! Carson is the sweetest boy, always being complimentary and helpful.

Andrew's brother sent this to Carson for his birthday and I thought it was really neat!

Right now his favorites are:
-blue
-the book goldilocks and the three bears
-the story about Nephi being protected
-playing outside
-Wacky Tacky

We celebrated by having a carnival party...that was supposed to be at the park but due to rain we moved it (mostly) indoors and had a blast!

The kids loved all of the games and especially all of the prizes!

Bean Bag Toss

Pin the Tail on the Donkey

He got it!

Duck Hunt

Go Fish

Water-gun Target Shooting
..the FAVORITE {probably because it involved guns, boys love their guns!}

Pin Drop

This one was pretty difficult but a couple of kids got the pins into the jars!

Water Balloon Toss

I kind of wish we would have saved the painting of the faces until near the end of the party because Carson looks sem-sun burnt in all of his pictures!

We finished off the party with hotdogs, water melon, juice drinks and cake pops!

I love seeing Carson with all of his friends; boys are so much fun!

Calling All Superhero's

Waiting with anticipation for his friends to arrive, Carson was running around the house wearing his super hero cape and saying, "do you see my C?", making funny faces and taking pictures of us with the camera.

In the midst of heroic pursuits we had the presence of Superman, Batman, captain underpants, Miss Giggles, and Captain America too name a few.

Speaking of capes, they turned out great and Carson loved them! The kids loved them!
The kids played lightning ball, got tatooed and fished for ducks (how this is superhero related you got me but it was entertainment so we did it!)

The fishing went well until Zoie tripped in the duck pool and was sad so seconds later to make her feel better Carson purposefully slid into the pool and from there on out it became a water party!

Something I won't forget is when I brought out his cake-pop and ice cream to sing to Carson he didn't wait for us to join in; as soon as I set down the plate he started {loudly} singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!"...we got the hint and joined in.

100 cake pops made, only 5 left! I made chocolate with dark chocolate mint, chocolate with peanut butter and yellow with milk chocolate. They were a process and super messy and I will definitely make them again, thanks to Leslie for giving me the idea and instructions on how-to.

Can you guess what his favorite present was?

As mentioned in the previous post, we got him a gun and he loved it for one whole day before asking for a bigger gun, "like William." So I took him and let him pick one out and he indeed did pick the biggest one they had and it came with a little one, then we took the other one back.

During the party Cait got her grandma fix or visa versa.

We love our Carson and can't believe that he's 3!

Happy Birthday!

Celebrating not one but TWO years!!

Carson is two! It seems like we just celebrated his birthday, what a year! Happy Birthday! We had a small get together for him on Monday with a few of his favorite things, Sesame Street, pizza and a little guitar hero! To prepare for our guests we made "la-la" (Elmo) and Cookie Monster cupcakes

He blew both candles out all by himself, it took a few tries but he did it! There is a little look of achievement on that face of his.

We also dusted off the guitar and drums...can you tell that he was excited much?!

After we ate dinner, Andrew had his hands full

Carson was such a great host greeting each person when they got to our house with a big "HI!" and a hug. We are so lucky to have him as part of our family and we can honestly say that we don't know what we would do without him!

Our attempt at a family picture...I am sure you can tell that holding still was not on his list of things to do.

We are also very fortunate to live close to both of our families, he is very loved!

Grandma Lois and Uncle Eee (Ian) and Aunt Robin, Andrew, Uncle Rico, Mimi, and Chels

A highlight of the night was watching a video that Mimi (Andrew's mom) made with a few photos but mostly clips of video footage of his life so far. It was awesome to see his little personality and to hear his sweet voice...made me realize that I need to get our video camera out more!
