Football Season

Football is like life - it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority.
-Vince Lombardi

Football season is officially here with a televised college football last night and a local high school game last night-Go Thunder! Andrew and Carson are sure to have many hours of male bonding and I am glad they will.

Random Update

It is amazing to me how much can change in such a short amount of time! Cait has started to say ma-ma! It is super cute! I kind of wanted her to say da-da first and had been "working with her" but I guess it wasn't meant to be. She is also started sitting up and can stand for short periods of time-she is super strong!

I love it how when she smiles her eyes light up!

We have also noticed that she has a distinct laugh (video below).

Carson has started has a little attitude but I think that comes with the territory; got kids? got attitude-right!

His question of the minute seems to be, Why this and why that? I have to remind myself that is how he learns but I'll be honest sometimes I don't know why...aah! His favorite color remains pink. His interests include: music (mental note to record him singing and playing either guitar or piano--too cute!), anything outside, cartoons, taking pictures, going places, and playing with and I quote, "my garage sale monsters."

What Saturdays are made for; Saturday morning cartoons!

Nothing else is new hear just surviving--3 weeks down many to go and we are already feeling the pressure. Andrew's doing double duty and "feels groggy" (hint: go to bed earlier hon), I'm worn out, our house is less than clean but the kids are still alive and we are happy and that's all that matters. December please come soon!

Andrew pruned our hydrangeas back a few weeks ago and I got a couple bouquets of flowers, aren't they beautiful?!

So glad the kids have each other! I love to watch them together!

6 months

Caitlin is such a sweet little girl. She loves to eat her hand and impressively can stuff the entire thing into her mouth!

Caitlin has also started eating solids. I can't feed her her rice cereal fast enough and likes veggies (she's had peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, and squash-in that order) As far as fruit goes, she has tried pears, bananas and apples with blueberries.

She is working on sitting up and can while supporting her body with her hands on the ground before losing her balance, she is super strong! She enjoys the swings at the park and likes rattles or really anything that she can get her hands on!

Caitlin is also a loud squealer but at least she squeals in delight! She is such a happy baby and smiles at people wherever we go. She loves her tummy and always rolls over on her right side. Once on her tummy she scoots, but backwards! All the while trying to scoot with her legs. Andrew predicts that she will be crawling in a months time.

We love our sweet pea and can't believe how big she is getting...time please slow down!
